The climate of Bhutan is diverse due to the variation in elevation of the terrain in the country. Autumn(September, October & November)
This is the peak time of tourism in Bhutan. By this time the heat level comes down and gets stable enough to make the surrounding cooler. The clear blue sky, glittering white snow-capped mountains, blooming floral beauties, and pleasant weather make this season travelers’ favourite.
Winter (December, January & February)
Winter brings an opportunity to witness snowfall. The northern regions receives heavy snowfall During this season Northern Bhutan receives heavy snowfall, as a result, life through high passes like Dochula, Pele la &Chele la become difficult to visit.
Best Time To Visit Bhutan
According to experts and local guides, the best time to visit Bhutan is from October to December when the sky remains clear and weather remains pleasant. January to February is colder, and you can visit from March to May when the famous rhododendron-bloom spectacularly flourishes the entire valley with enchanting colors. There will be still chill in the air on some mornings and nights which add to the sense of adventure without being too cold.
