Visa
All visitors need Visa to visit Bhutan except for visitors from India. Indians only need a permit (Indians traveling by air will be issued a free Entry Permit upon arrival into Bhutan) and valid ID proofs to enter Bhutan. Nationals of Bangladesh and Maldives can enter Bhutan with just their passport, as long as it is valid for another six months. All other tourists must obtain a visa to enter Bhutan. Sustainable Development Fee
Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) is a part of the new policy of the Bhutan Government. Every tourist has to a particular amount of charges per day during their visit to Bhutan. Tourists from India, Bangladesh, and Maldives will have to pay a much lesser amount of SDA than other nations.

You Can Travel to Bhutan On your Own
Until 2022, you couldn’t travel independently within Bhutan. Therefore you were required to submit a proposed itinerary for approval to Bhutan Government and you have to accompany by a Bhutanese tour guide throughout your time in the Country you should have a driver assigned to you.
But as of September 2022, however, you can travel to Bhutan on your own without a tour guide and driver in Bhutan which is a big change in the tourism industry of Bhutan.
